Eye Muscle Strain - Where Does It Come From ?
Undoubtedly eye muscle strain is a symptom of eye fatigue or eye strain.
If you're suffering from this painful eye complaint it's most likely you have been working too hard at your computer.
I have suffered from eye muscle strain as one of the results of reading too much text on my computer screen during my work and leisure time. You may also be generating the same damage to your eyes by over-use of your computer.
However - I discovered a very effective way of reducing the effects of eye muscle strain. In my case I reduced this to zero.
Let me expleain exactly how I did it.
Eye Muscle Strain - What I Found Out . . .
As a Commercial Writer I spend a lot of time staring at my computer screen. I have to research complex subjects and then write about them. This takes a lot of computer time.
I realized that when I watched films or videos I didn't suffer from eye strain. However, when I had to read text over extended periods of time I would get soreness in my eyes and a dull ache from the muscles surrounding both eyes.
One day (September 25 2008) - I stumbled across a piece of software that promised to read out loud all the text on my computer so I wouldn't have to. Furthermore - it was going to do this using natural human voices.
Realizing this could release me from my eye strain - I downloaded the software immediately.
When I installed the program I discovered it would also convert my emails and documents - in fact all my computer text - into audio files I could easily upload to my portable mp3 player.
So now I was going to be able to take a walk, or a drive in the car, and 'listen' to my emails and all the tons of research and e-books I have to wade through.
This was going to free me from my computer.

Eye Muscle Strain and What Happened Next . . .
After downloading the software onto my computer, it set up a number of toolbars in various programs (MS Word, Powerpoint, Outlook, Outlook Express and Firefox). There was also a general toolbar that allowed me to listen to ANY text on my computer.
These toolbars made it really simple to click on a button and have all my text read to me in either a male or female voice. There were also other languages and different English accents (US and British).
You can try out the voices by typing your own text into a box at the bottom of this page (follow the link) > > > "Natural Reader Voices"
I have used this Natural Reader program almost every day since September 2008 and I am positive that it has saved me from a lot of eye strain and eye muscle strain.
It is very low-cost in my opinion and I think it's the best software investment I ever made.
