Computer Eye Strain - How to Stop It Before It Starts

Computer Eye Strain Is Best Dealt With Early
Computer eye strain has been a great annoyance in my recent years until I stumbled across a simple way to stop it before it starts.
If that sounds impossible - let me show you exactly how I do it.
In my work as a Commercial Writer I spend many hours hunched over a computer screen. My job entails researching complex subjects and then writing about them. This takes some considerable time - and the result is a long list of computer eye strain symptoms that include sore eyes, tired eyes and headaches.
Well - that's what I used to do - but not any more.
You may have something similar in your line of work - and even in your pleasure pursuits. I expect you read and/or write emails - reports - eBooks - websites and so on. You may be spending several hours a day staring intently at your computer screen.
This not only gives you Computer Eye Strain - it also leaves you feeling generally run down and tired. And if you're tired - you can easily become grumpy and bad tempered (believe me - I've been there !) and this can impact on relationships with friends and family.
Computer Eye Strain - Here's What I learned About It
Computer eye strain doesn't arrive like a broken leg - it slowly sneaks up on you.
And the reason this is becoming such a big problem is that governments, authorities and manufacturers the world over have realized it saves them money to slap their information on the internet rather than sending you printed material.
I also figured out from my own experience that watching video and films on a screen is far less demanding on your eyes than reading text.
It's the text that's doing the main damage to your eyes.

Computer Eye Strain - The Solution Is Easier Than You'd Think !
Long story short - on September 25, 2008 I stumbled across a piece of low-cost software that suddenly took away the pain.
While looking for something else, I ran across an ad that told me about a program I could download that would read all my computer text out loud to me in natural human voices. This would mean I could have my emails and documents read to me in the office while I got on with something else.
Even better - with a couple of clicks - this gadget would convert any text on my computer into audio files which I could easily upload onto my portable mp3 player and listen to someplace else.
What joy !
I immediately pictured myself strolling in the park while listening to all the reading material I wouldn't have to read while staring at my computer screen.
I immediately downloaded the software and have used it every day since for work and pleasure.
The best investment I ever made for my eyes and my sanity.
